WELCOME TO 2025: A YEAR OF GROWTH AND HOPE
January 2, 2025The beginning of a new year is always a time of hope and renewal. For the CKC Umuezigwe community, this year started with a special gathering on January 1st. The block rosary centers came together for a day of thanksgiving and celebration, marking the start of the year with joy and gratitude.
During Rev. Sister Mary Rose Eboh’s (DMMM) silver jubilee three years ago, something wonderful happened. Her friends and family gave the community a special gift: the Grotto of Mary, the Undoer of Knots. This gift marked the start of a new journey for our community. It was at this event that Rev. Sister Mary Rose Eboh officially started the block rosary centres in three areas: Umunnachi, Obinetiti, and Umuohiaji.
Since then, the block rosary centres have grown with her guidance, bringing spiritual growth and unity. This year, they had their first official Thanksgiving and public event to begin the year, showing how far they have come thanks to Rev. Sister Mary Rose Eboh’s dedication.
The day was filled with joy and cultural displays that brought everyone together. Dances and exhibitions showed the rich traditions of our community. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and a strong sense of togetherness, making the day one to remember.
Quizzes and debates also kept everyone engaged. These activities were fun and helped everyone learn more about their faith and reflect on important values.
One of the day’s highlights was the appreciation of Rev. Sister Mary Rose Eboh (DM), evidenced in the songs sung as the children danced. Her support and dedication have been a source of strength for many years. The Catholic community used this opportunity to thank her and appreciate all she has done.
Rev. Sister Mary Rose Eboh’s presence and guidance have played a key role in helping the community grow spiritually. Her hard work and caring nature have touched many lives, and this was clear throughout the celebration.
As we move into this new year, the feelings of togetherness and gratitude from the Thanksgiving Day event remind us of our blessings and the support that continues to help our community. This celebration was not just an event but a reaffirmation of our commitment to faith, unity, and cultural heritage.
We look forward to more events that bring us closer and strengthen our community bonds. Here’s to a year filled with joy, growth, and blessings for CKC Umuezigwe and all its members.
